Beijing Great Wall and Forbidden City tour
We had a great experience with the Great Wall and Forbidden City tour. Our guide, Kevin - was very patient and knowledgeable. The Great Wall was an amazing sight, we were able to walk for about 30 minutes on this tourist-oriented section of the Wall; we were fortunate that the weather was misty and rainy- most days during the summer are very hot and humid. After a lunch nearby, we went on a tour of the Forbidden City; The former palace is a huge area full of history. I highly recommend this tour. More

Family visit to Beijing
Our family had a great time in Beijing. Colin, our guide, was knowledgeable and thoughtful with our children. They all liked him very much. He has a kind demeanor and made great suggestions for food and activities. He even called ahead to a restaurant to make sure they had a certain vegetable for us that we all loved. They didn't - but then the cook went out to the market to buy and make it for us. :) Colin knew where all the right spots were to take the best pictures along the great wall and we have some absolutely amazing photos. We hope to come back one day and explore more! More

A:The best times to visit China are spring (April–May) and autumn (September–October), when most of the popular places have their most tourism-friendly weather.
Q: Should I apply for a visa now, or should I wait until closer to the time of travel?
A:The Chinese visa is generally valid to enter Chinafor 3 months from the issue date. Please apply for your visa within 3 months of entry into China, according to your travel itinerary, and avoid expiry of the visa. Also don't apply too late to avoid the extra cost of express application processing. Usually it is recommended to apply about 6 weeks prior to travel and not to book things (like flights) that can't be refunded until you get a visa. Typically tourist visas are processed in four working days.
