Beauty of Beijing
![]() Colin (our tour guide) and Xia (our driver) were excellent! Colin took us to the places where it is not as crowded, took us to ecellent restaurants. He is also very knowledgeable with the history. Xia made sure our drive is smooth and dropped us off as close as possible to the areas to limit walking. A great team! Will request for them in the future when we come back. God bless! More

Beijing March 2025 with Jiang
![]() I had an incredible experience touring Beijing with our guide, Jiang! His deep knowledge of the city's culture and history truly enriched our visit. Jiang’s enthusiasm for sharing fascinating stories and insights made every stop memorable. What impressed me most was his willingness to adapt to changes throughout the tour. Whether it was adjusting our schedule or accommodating special requests, Jiang handled everything with a positive attitude and remarkable patience. He consistently went the extra mile to ensure we were not only having fun but also safe. His friendly demeanor made it easy to connect and enjoy our time together. Additionally, his restaurant recommendations were spot-on—each meal was a delicious adventure that showcased the best of local cuisine. If we return to Beijing in the future, we will definitely seek out Jiang again! More

Tour Highlights

Itinerary Details
Your private guide will wait for you at the airport's exit with your name card in his/her hands. Your experienced driver will escort you to your hotel to check in. You can have a good rest in your hotel ready for the next day's tour or walk around the hotel on your own.
In the morning, your guide will lead you to the must-see scenic spots. You'll see traditional Chinese architecture in the Forbidden City and Tian'anmen Square.
Taste Sichuan dishes in a local Chinese-style restaurant for lunch. You can order your favorite food with your guide's assistance.
After lunch, see what old Beijing looks like when a rickshaw takes your family through the alleyways. Visit a family in a hutong courtyard to discover how the locals live and practice Peking opera art with them. Your kids can choose their preferred heroic Chinese figures for their makeup masks.
Taking a cable car ride to the top of the Great Wall will make your Mutianyu trip easier. Stroll along the wall to get beautiful photos and look out from the watchtowers, just like a sentry. There are different ways to get down from the wall. You can take a cable car ride, walk down, or slide down after an hour's hike on a nice day.
Have some special local cuisine for lunch at the foot of the Great Wall.
Return to Beijing city after 2 hours' drive and head to the Temple of Heaven. It is a place for many local people to do activities and have fun, and it's hard to believe that this is where emperors used to pray to heaven for a good harvest.
End your day with some crispy Beijing roast duck for dinner. The chef will show you the correct way to cut it and the authentic way to eat it.
A short boat ride across the lake in the morning will show you more history as you wander through the main building in the Summer Palace.
Taste the local popular dishes for lunch.
Later, your guide and driver will transfer your family to the airport to catch a flight to Xi'an. A 4½-hour high-speed train ride is also available if you prefer — just let your travel advisor know.
You will meet your guide when you arrive in Xi'an and will be transferred to your hotel in a comfortable private van.
If it was not for some toiling farmers digging a well, the famous Terracotta Army might still be buried. Your family will learn about the history of these important and splendid statues. Your guide will tell you everything about when, why, and how the warriors were created and their uniqueness.
After that, you will visit a local cave dwelling and make a little warrior of your own under the host's guidance. It is an interesting way for your kids to experience Chinese history deeply.
Head back to the city center to go biking on the city wall after tasting some Shaanxi cuisine for lunch, which is another fun way to spend a happy hour together as a family.
You will arrive at the Big Wild Goose Pagoda after breakfast. See the temple shooting into the sky and the elegant Buddhist seat. Your guide will show you the paintings on several large hall walls and tell you the classic stories about the famous ones. Learn about the Chinese Buddhist monk, Xuanzang. It will take you back in time as you hear about his 81 tribulations.
Then, your family will be welcomed into a local home where the family will teach you how to make jiaozi. Jiaozi with meat and vegetable fillings are very popular in China and this is a good way to get a taste of the local culture.
Say goodbye to the local family after having a wonderful lunch that you made with them and then you will be driven to the airport in Xi'an for your flight to Shanghai. Your guide and driver in Shanghai will be waiting for you.
Before you begin exploring Shanghai, visit Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center. It displays Shanghai's development, presenting a giant model of the city. It is the best way for your family to understand both the old and new Shanghai.
Take the fastest elevator up the tallest building, Shanghai Tower, for a panoramic view of the city. You can test your courage by walking on the glass walkway.
Stroll along the Bund to have a relaxing time and have lunch in a nearby restaurant.
Visit the private garden that has a typical classic Chinese architectural style and was only used by royal people in ancient times — Yu Yuan. Outside the garden, a busy market will appear. It is a pretty good place to get some goods before heading back to your hotel.
Shanghai is a modern city and a shopping paradise like Hong Kong. Most of our clients like to have a free day to relax or go shopping in Nanjing Road. The sights along the Bund are amazing. Exploring it at night is a nice option.
Pack your luggage and leave with unforgettable memories of this trip. Your guide and driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby and will get you to the airport on time. Have a pleasant journey home.
