Meet your private driver and the guide at the airport to start a tour around Bilbao where we will go to the Artxanda viewpoint from where we will be able to see the amazing views of Bilbao, and will then discover the old town of the city in a walking tour.
Enjoy a pintxos tour- Visit Hondarribia, where we will enter into the walled old town and walk through its cobbled streets full of colorful balconied houses and unique buildings such as the Castle of the Emperor Carlos V, which was turned into a Parador (luxury hotel) in 1968. Nearby is the neighborhood of La Marina, with its colorful fishermen's houses, restaurants a,nd archetypal pintxos bars with terraces.
- Then we'll drive back to San Sebastian. Ascend Mount Igueldo by road to enjoy one of the best views of La Concha Bay.
- Embark on a walking tour of San Sebastian, through the city center and the old town, discovering its main attractions, such as the Belle-Époque-style buildings and the Buen Pastor cathedral, ending the tour with a tasting of representative Basque pintxos in the well-known bars of the city.
Marques de Riscal- Head for Elciego, where you will have tickets prepared for the regular guided visit to Marques de Riscal winery, designed by famous architect Frank Gehry, which is a traditional one.
- Then, continue to Laguardia, an incredible medieval town and capital of the wine-producing area of Rioja Alavesa, where we will discover its splendid ancient buildings.
- Stop at Haro — "the wine capital" to enjoy the regular guided visit to Bodegas Baigorri, Haro's modren winery, and taste the amazing wines of the region.
- Drive to Bilbao in the late afternoon.
Beautiful fishing village, Bermeo- Start with the famous Guggenheim Museum, where you will have the opportunity to discover the inside and outside of the museum with a guided visit. Designed by the North American architect Frank O. Gehry, it's a magnificent example of the most groundbreaking architecture to have come out of the 20th century.
- In the afternoon, head to the Bay of Biscay, where we will discover some of the most amazing attractions of the region like San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, an impressive islet off the coast of Bermeo and one of the most magical places in Bizkaia (Biscay province), well known for being one of the stages for the famous "Game of Thrones" series.
- After visiting the famous islet and driving through amazing landscapes, we will head to Bermeo, a beautiful fishing village.
Castro Urdiales- Drive from Bilbao to Santander. Along the way, you will visit Castro Urdiales. It features a man-made harbor, beaches, and a cliff side coastline. You can enjoy part of the cliffside scenery while traveling from Bilbao. The town center is quite small, situated near the dock, where you can explore the castle and church along the seaside.
- Continue to Santander. Enjoy your free time to explore this lovely town by yourself.
Palacio de La Magdalena- Start with the iconic Palacio de la Magdalena, a former royal summer residence. Admire its elegant architecture, reminiscent of European palaces, and stroll through the lush gardens overlooking the bay. Take a peek inside to witness the opulent interiors that once housed Spanish royalty.
- Head to the futuristic Centro Botin. Its unique, sail-like structure perched on pillars creates a striking silhouette against the sea. Explore temporary exhibitions showcasing contemporary art from around the globe. Enjoy panoramic city views from the rooftop terrace.
- Delve into Santander's historical heart. Discover the impressive Catedral de Santander, a captivating blend of Gothic and Romanesque architecture. Admire its stained-glass windows and intricate carvings, remnants of a rich artistic heritage.
Picos de Europa- Drive from Santander to Ribadeo. Along the way, you will explore a medieval town and a beautiful national park.
- Walk on the ancient streets of Santillana del Mar and appreciate many well-preserved buildings from the Middle Ages. The town is quite peaceful, with few tourists.
- Continue to drive to the Picos de Europa, or the Peaks of Europe, Spain's first national park. Lake Covadonga is a symbol of the Picos de Europa due to its stunning scenic beauty. The lake is clear and calm and is home to herds of cows and sheep, earning it the nickname "Little Switzerland". You can choose a 3-kilometer walking path to enjoy the surroundings fully.
Playa de las Catedrales- Before driving to the Santiago de Compostela, you will visit the unbelievable Playa de las Catedrales.
- Experience walking through narrow corridors between cliffs, fissures, and caves, and witness the miracle of nature.
Catedral de Santiago de Compostela- pilgrim to Catedral de Santiago de Compostela, the most sacred lands in the hearts of European Catholics. Feel the power of the faith.If lucky, you might witness the church's most captivating ceremony of swinging the incense burner (Botafumeiro).
- Continue to visit the Museum of Pilgrimage, which is just next to the cathedral. It contains a wealth of information on the origins of the pilgrimage, relics, and various routes chosen by pilgrims across different regions of Europe and the Iberian Peninsula.
