Itinerary Details
This itinerary is just a suggestion for you to plan your vacation. We specialize in designing private customer-oriented tours so just let us know your interests and expectations, and we will create a tour that satisfies your preferences.
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by your private tour guide who will be holding a sign with your name on it. Then you will be transferred to your hotel. Your guide will assist you with the check-in process and leave you to enjoy some free time for the rest of the day. It is recommended to adjust to the jet lag on your first day.
Solemn Royal Palace and Temples
Start your tour in the morning before it gets too hot.
During the excursion, besides the transfers in your private car, your tour guide will take you to discover the old part of Bangkok via public transportation of different means, such as a long-tail boat, a tuk tuk, and a canoe. This experience is a lot of fun and is the best way to have an authentic insight into the city and the locals' lifestyles.
The Grand Palace, Wat Pho, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, and the Temple of Dawn are must-see landmarks when sightseeing in Bangkok.
An à la carte lunch is included at a local popular restaurant.
Gourmet Experience in Chinatown and Explore the Old Neighborhood:
After lunch, continue your excursion to the 200-year-old Chinatown, which is one of the busiest business districts in Bangkok. Despite the relatively old houses, the district is extremely prosperous. Wander around Chinatown — you are encouraged to try the local food and have a nice conversation with the locals. It's interesting to discover how the Chinese retain their traditions, religion, and culture overseas.
Don't forget your camera for today's tour! It will offer you the best opportunities to capture shots of the vivid traditional Thai life.
After a relaxing breakfast, you will have about an hour's drive to reach Maeklong Railway Market, which is located in southwest Bangkok. This market is uniquely placed close to the railway tracks, selling lots of cheap fruits and fresh vegetables. Don't be surprised when a train comes — the railway station will sound a warning and the stall owners will gather up their stalls quickly and wait for the train to pass.
This will be followed by a visit to the renowned Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, which is also something not to be missed.
An à la carte lunch is included at a popular local restaurant.
After enjoying a relaxing late breakfast, your private driver and tour guide will take you to the airport for a 1-hour flight to Chiang Mai.
At the airport in Chiang Mai, your friendly tour guide will greet you in the arrivals hall and transfer you to your selected hotel.
Your guide will assist you with the hotel check-in process and leave you to enjoy some free time for the rest of the day. It's highly recommended to enjoy your leisure time with a Thai massage or explore the nearby communities. If you prefer, just have a good rest and get ready for the next day's excursion.
Doi Inthanon National Park is surrounded by mountains and has the highest mountain peak in Thailand, at over 2,565 meters above sea level. It is not as high compared with other mountains in the world but it is an amazing height in Thailand. The park has a cool climate and is filled with beautiful scenery, lush trees, waterfalls, flowers, and feral plants.
Doi Inthanon National Park is rich in species, including more than 400 bird species, making it a mecca for biologists and bird lovers. Go on a mild hike along Ang Ka Nature Trail, pass some tribes, and come across wild animals. The trail ends up at the summit, which offers the best viewing point to admire a sunrise and sunset as well as the brilliant King and Queen Pagodas.
Fantastic Chiang Mai Temples
Chiang Mai is a very religious area and there are many Buddhist temples in the region. You will have the chance to visit two of the most influential temples in the morning to experience the Buddhist culture in Thailand.
After a relaxing breakfast, your tour will start with a visit to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, which was built on top of Doi Suthep in the outskirts of Chiang Mai. The mountain offers beautiful views with seas of white clouds and colorful flowers. The whole attraction is regarded as a Buddhist shrine because a few consecrated Buddha sariras are at Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. Many Buddhists worship in this temple each year. You are welcome to make a wish there!
Afterward, you will go to Chiang Mai's Old City to the World Heritage Site, Wat Chedi Luang. The main hall is resplendent and magnificent, containing a mix of Indian and Ceylon styles. Even though part of the main building was once destroyed by an earthquake, the ruins did not stop its momentum — over time, the brick-red walls showed through the smoky black color and green leaves began growing between the tiles, making Wat Chedi Luang seem alive again. Tired of seeing golden temples? It's amazing to see the historic Wat Chedi Luang.
An à la carte lunch is included at a popular local restaurant.
Thai Cuisine Cooking Class
In the afternoon, you'll take a cooking class in a local villager's house to discover the secret to delicious Thai food. Walk around the lovely house and yard, from where you'll pick the herbs and vegetables you will need to use for the cooking class.
Your expert host will introduce you to the popular ingredients used for Thai food and give you a step-by-step guide to making some easy but authentic homemade delicacies. You won't forget this new skill and it will be very cool to show it to your family or friends when you are back home.
As we all know, Thai cuisine is renowned for its freshness and perfect balance of sour, spicy, salty, and sweet flavors. During the class, you will also have the chance to taste a variety of Thai cuisines from different parts of the country.
After a relaxing late breakfast, your private driver and tour guide will take you to the airport for a 2-hour flight to Phuket.
At the airport in Phuket, your friendly tour guide will greet you in the arrivals hall and transfer you to your selected hotel. Your guide will assist you with the hotel check-in process and leave you free for the rest of the day.
Special note: We suggest you stay overnight in Phuket so you can avoid the stress of rushing to catch the early morning flight in order to catch the 3-hour shuttle transfer to Khao Sok National Park on the same day.
Interesting Interaction with an Elephant and Rafting
Early in the morning, you, along with other groups, will be picked up in the lobby by the guide from Elephant Hills. The guide and driver will escort you to Khao Sok National Park, which takes about 3 hours by car.
After having a rest and a Thai buffet lunch at the Elephant Camp, you will take a leisurely raft ride along the Sok River to enjoy the karst scenery that keeps unfolding in front of you.
Last but not least, you will have an interesting interaction with a wild elephant. You will be able to touch it, feed it, and help to bathe it.
Dinner is included at a nice restaurant in the national park and you will stay overnight in a luxury tent in the jungle.
After a relaxing breakfast, start your tour with "Little Guilin" Cheow Lan Lake scenic area. The lake serves as a huge reservoir set among beautiful limestone mountains. You will have a long-tail boat cruise on the lake to enjoy the tranquil, turquoise water and stunning karst scenery that embraces the lake.
A buffet lunch is included at the floating camp.
Mild Hike in the Rain Forest
Have a short rest after lunch then go on a mild hike through Khao Sok National Park. It is one of the oldest rain forests in the world — because it has not been heavily commercialized, it has retained much of its original character. You may see many ancient plants during the hike, such as giant vines with stems up to 10 centimeters in diameter, ancient ferns, and huge bamboos, as well as a variety of birds and wild animals, such as monkeys and colorful butterflies.
Dinner is included in a nice restaurant in the national park and you will stay overnight in a luxury tent in the jungle.
Early in the morning, your guide will take you to have a unique canoe safari experience along the narrow tributaries of Cheow Lan Lake. Observe the hornbills, gibbons, and other wild animals hiding in the tops of the ancient trees. We believe this will be one of the highlights of your jungle adventure.
Lunch will be served in the jungle if the weather permits and you will have the chance to try the most exotic meal made by a traditional cooking method — in bamboo!
After lunch, you will return to your hotel to freshen up, then head to the pier via a private car to catch the ferry to your next destination, Koh Samui.
Have three free days on your own to explore and enjoy the beautiful beaches in romantic Koh Samui.
In the morning, after breakfast, you will be transferred to Koh Samui Airport to catch your flight back to Bangkok for your departure home.
