Itinerary Details

Three countries are included in the tour itinerary below but you can adjust the details as you wish until it meets your needs. This private tour will provide you with an authentic experience at a comfortable pace.

Day 1
Arrival in Hanoi, Vietnam

Hotel suggestions: Hanoi Pearl Hotel / Apricot Hotel

Hanoi is the capital city of Vietnam. After your arrival, you can enjoy yourself in the hotel.

Day 2
Hanoi | Different Parts of Hanoi

Hanoi has an abundant history and cultures. In this trip, you will have a better understanding of Hanoi. In the morning, you will be led to the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. It has regular cultural programs with many exciting and educational activities, which attract a lot of locals and foreign tourists to the museum. You can also learn some historical stories at Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. After a short rest, you can start a food hunt in the Old Quarter — find your favorite snacks and enjoy them.

Day 3
Hanoi to Halong Bay | Cruise Trip

Overnight accommodation: Jasmine Cruise / Bhaya Cruise

After enjoying a refreshing breakfast in your hotel, you will be picked up by the shuttle bus arranged by the cruise company and transferred to Halong Bay. As a World Heritage Site, you can see the amazing views in Halong Bay and you can enjoy your time with your loved one in the romantic atmosphere.

During your cruise, you will see villages, caves, and islets. If you are interested in a cooking class or a tai chi lesson, you can check out the cruise information and choose your favorite activity.

Day 4
Halong Bay to Hanoi to Da Nang to Hoi An

Hotel suggestions: Essence Hoi An Hotel & Spa / Almanity Hoi An Wellness Resort

When your cruise has finished, you will be transferred back to the airport in Hanoi and take a flight to the major transportation spot in Vietnam — Da Nang. After you get off the airplane, you will go to an ancient town called Hoi An, which is 40 minutes from the airport. In this way, your connection between the two countries will be closely timed and convenient.

Day 5
Hoi An | Old Memories of Hoi An

In the morning, you will walk around a local market with an experienced chef. In the market, you can learn how to choose the fresh ingredients and what kinds of dishes the Vietnamese people love. After choosing the food, you will go to the restaurant and enjoy learning how to make delicious dishes.

In the afternoon, your guide will lead you to Hoi An Ancient Town where there are attractive bridges and halls, and these scenic spots can help you see what the area looked like in ancient times.

Day 6
Hoi An to Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City

Hotel suggestions: Millennium Boutique Hotel / Rex Hotel

You will take an afternoon flight, which has been arranged so that you won't be in a hurry to catch it. After you get off the airplane in Ho Chi Minh City, enjoy your free time and have a good rest in the hotel.

Day 7
Ho Chi Minh City

In the morning, your guide will lead you to visit Reunification Palace and Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon. In Saigon Central Post Office, you can send a postcard to your friends — will your friends get the postcards before you finish your tour?

After a light lunch, you will visit the War Remnants Museum. There is an F-5A fighter and a UH-1 "Huey" helicopter there. They are old and you might feel as though you have gone back in time. After visiting the museum, you will get on a local cyclo (rickshaw). You can really experience nature and the local lifestyle when traveling this way and, because of the cyclo's small size, you can get to many spots that your private car can't.

Day 8
Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap | Boat Ride on the Mekong River

Hotel suggestions: Tara Angkor Hotel / Borei Angkor Resort & Spa

In the morning, you will be transferred to Ben Tre. It is a beautiful city located in the Mekong Delta.

When you leave Ho Chi Minh City, you will be surrounded by views of the villages and rice paddies that you can't see in the city. Later, you can get on a motorboat, feel the breeze on your face, touch the soft water, and view the local farms from afar.

You will return to Ho Chi Minh City after you finish your boat trip and will be transferred to the airport in the early afternoon.

Day 9
Siem Reap | The Mystery of Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat is a world-famous wonder and many secrets are waiting for you to discover them. Your guide will lead you to four major parts: Angkor Thom, Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, and Bayon. The style and purpose of each part are different but there is one thing they all want to tell people — pursue immortality. Your guide will tell you something about the Angkor Wat complex that you can't find in a guidebook.

In the evening, you will have dinner in Por Cuisine and witness the apsaras coming to life.

Day 10
Siem Reap | Beyond the Center of Angkor Wat

There are some very old temples, each with their own style. Banteay Srei, constructed with pink sandstone, is a must-see feature in the complex of Angkor Wat. The best time to enjoy it is in the early morning when the sunlight is shining on the stone. On your way to the 'pink temple', you will also see a ruin that is barely known by people called Banteay Samre.

In the afternoon, your guide will lead you to the Cambodia Landmine Museum. In this museum, you will learn who Aki Ra is and the hard work he does to eliminate landmines. He tries his best to keep people safe. Your trip will finish at an old temple, Angkor Wat, which is a really good place to see the sunset.

Day 11
Siem Reap to Luang Prabang

Hotel suggestions: Le Sen Boutique Hotel / Satri House

We recommend an afternoon flight so you can have more time to walk around the old streets in Siem Reap. Later, you will take a flight to Luang Prabang, which is a peaceful city. Enjoy yourself and have a good rest.

Day 12
Luang Prabang | Attractive Town of Luang Prabang

Wake up early to join in with an important activity: morning almsgiving. Every morning, as part of the local culture, the monks walk a long way barefoot from the temple to the town. People offer them their first pot of rice on that day. This is the monks' food and this activity can help you understand how holy the monks are in people's minds. After the offering, you can have breakfast in your hotel.

Your guide will lead you to Wat Xieng Thong, the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Center, and the Royal Palace Museum. Enjoy yourself in the scenic spots and try some delicious dishes.

Day 13
Luang Prabang | Play in the Kuang Si Falls

In the morning, you will leave Luang Prabang to go to the Kuang Si Falls and you can enjoy views of the countryside from the car. You will meet some friendly ethnic minority people in the village — chat with them and they will tell you some interesting facts about their culture. Afterward, you can jump into the water and feel the coolness of nature. Enjoy yourself surrounded by trees and flowers.

You will return to Luang Prabang in the afternoon.

Day 14
Luang Prabang Departure

After a delicious breakfast in your hotel, you will be transferred to the airport to take your flight back home. We, at Asia Highlights, wish you a pleasant journey!
