Best Weather Times for Jordan and Israel
Jordan and Israel experience relatively dry conditions throughout the year with the highest monthly amounts of rainfall coming in Tel Aviv in January being just a moderate 15 cm (6 in). The dry months, April to October, see 3 cm (1 inch) per month or less across both countries.
As a result, the best time to visit Jordan and Israel is mainly affected by the temperature. Therefore, cooler spring and autumn are the best times to visit Jordan and Israel, perfectly avoiding the hot summer and cool/mild and damp/showery winter.
Average daily high temperatures are from 20°C to 30°C (68°F to 86°F) in spring and autumn when you could wander around the ancient ruins and enjoy some outdoor fun in ideal conditions.
Although there is the best weather, you would have to prepare for higher costs and bigger crowds. An early booking of 6 months in advance would usually gain early bird discounts and maximize the availability of hotels/flights.

Best Times for a Family Trip to Jordan and Israel
Float on the Dead Sea
If you and your family have a flexible schedule, spring and autumn are undoubtedly the best times to start your family trip.
But if you're traveling with school-age kids, your schedule may be limited. With shorter distances to Jordan and Israel, European families are advised to visit them during the spring (Easter) break for the most comfortable weather.
But for those requiring long-haul flights, such as American and Australian families, school vacations in winter are recommended when compared with the hot summer. Being the shoulder season, you could experience the festive season and enjoy less-crowded attractions in a cost-effective way.
However, this is not the case around Christmas and New Year. Being the holiday season, you'd better prepare for the highest costs and largest crowds. Booking your tour half a year in advance is key to securing a higher availability of family rooms and getting early bird benefits.
If summer is the only time you have, then June is the best summer month to visit Jordan and Israel. Compared with July and August, June is a little cooler with average daily high temperatures from 28 to 38 °C (82 to 100°F).
A private tour with us would make your summer family trip more comfortable: enjoy a private air-conditioned car, cold drinks that are always available, and flexible itineraries that make the best of the weather.

The Worst and Cheapest Times to Visit Jordan and Israel
