December is one of the most popular times of the year to visit Egypt, both as a result of the weather and the school holidays in most of the northern hemisphere. The reason that the weather makes December so popular to visit, is because the temperatures are a lot lower during this time of the year, making it more pleasant to walk around the tourist sights without breaking a sweat.
It is a little cold to go on a beach holiday in Egypt in December, but if you prefer lower temperatures on the beach it is definitely still doable, or if you are planning on going snorkeling or participating in water sports.

As December is a cooler time to visit Egypt, you'll need to make sure you dress appropriately. This means bringing an additional layer to wear during the evenings, when temperatures are lower. We also recommend bringing a coat or a jacket for after the sun goes down.
If you are visiting the beach, you'll likely not need your coat, but do expect a difference in temperature between daytime and the night. UV levels will still be high regardless of where you're visiting, and so we also recommend bringing sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses for your time in Egypt.
