1) Cairo and Giza

Cairo and Giza are number one on most visitors' lists when they arrive in Egypt, as this is where you'll find the Grand Egyptian Museum, which is home to many incredible treasures, the Pyramids of Giza, and the impressive Islamic architecture of Cairo.

Cairo is also a great place to become acquainted with Egyptian cuisine, and to enjoy time at a cafe after wandering around the bazaar to stock up on souvenirs for your family. If you are out late at night, make sure to bring a jacket as the temperatures will drop slightly.

5. What to Wear in Egypt in December

As December is a cooler time to visit Egypt, you'll need to make sure you dress appropriately. This means bringing an additional layer to wear during the evenings, when temperatures are lower. We also recommend bringing a coat or a jacket for after the sun goes down.
